Do you remember Wilma Sundin, our part-time colleague who combines her role as an accounting assistant with her elite ice hockey career?
Through a successful collaboration between Elektromatik and the recruitment company Performiq, 20-year-old hockey player Wilma Sundin works part-time at Elektromatik, combining her elite ice hockey career with work as an accounting assistant.
With a solid background in hockey and a strong focus on teamwork and diversity, Wilma has proven to be an asset to Elektromatik and MoDo's women's team in the SDHL.
Wilma has been part of the national team during the winter season and hoped for a chance to play in the World Championship. In April, she succeeded in being selected and participated as a debutant in a young Swedish national team at the World Championship in Utica, New York. She was one of five MoDo teammates from MoDo.
"I think it was great to be selected for the World Championship. My goal has always been to make it to the World Championship because the greatest thing you can do as an ice hockey player is to represent your country, but I wouldn't say I expected to make it," she says.
Wilma, who comes from Sundsvall and plays forward, has signed a two-year contract with the ice hockey club MoDo Hockey, extending through the 24/25 season.
She is happy to continue her combined career in both business and sports. "I really enjoy working at Elektromatik and being part of the MoDo team. It feels exciting and right for me to continue developing in both worlds."
"We are very pleased to have Wilma Sundin on our team. Her commitment and dedication have enriched our work environment, and she makes a strong contribution to the team at Elektromatik," says Kristina Svensson, Head of Operations at Elektromatik.
